Fantasia Barrino- Vocal Profile/ Range

Vocal Type: Mezzo- Soprano
Vocal Range: 2 Octaves 6 notes and a semitone C3-Bb5
Whistle Register: No
Vocal Pluses: Voice has a rasp that gives it a distinct, husky sound. She has great control, and understanding of her voice which allows her to sing in the extremes of her voice- both high and low- with apparent ease.
Vocal Negatives: At times her voice is placed in the throat, causing it to sound coarse and pushed. The raspiness of her voice is also somewhat of an acquired taste.

Lily Allen- Vocal Profile/ Range

Vocal Type: Soubrette
Vocal Range: 1 octave notes and a semitone  G3-Eb5
Whistle Register: No
Vocal Pluses: A light, warm and sweet voice that has a pleasant, effortless tone to it in part due to her voice never being pushed or strained. Her head voice has a pleasing quality about it, and is accessed reasonably lower than most female singers, starting at the top of the fourth octave.
Vocal Negatives: Her real skill comes from her lyricism, attitude and not her voice. Her range is limited and doesn't have any strength in its chest register or its lower extremities. Overall, her technical proficiency as a vocalist doesn't seem to be too high, if her skills are to be judged on the musical output so far.

Audio Clips:
Low notes: G3

A3

High notes: D5

Eb5

Thanks to Mr Bárány again for his help. Much appreciated.

Vocal Range: 2 Octaves 7 notes D3-C6
Whistle Register: No ( Yes if using the video posted at the bottom as a source)
Vocal Pluses: Strong, full, robust voice with brilliant control and support demonstrated throughout the registers. Has a dark, heavy midrange belt that is a marked contrast to her bright, light and higher range mixed belt which allows her incredibly to sing up to a C6. Her head voice is warm, thick and strong, with an operatic quality to it.
Vocal Negatives: Voice struggles a little on the lower notes.

Amber Riley - Vocal Profile/ Range

Vocal Type: Light Lyric Soprano
Vocal Range: 2 Octaves 3 notes and a semitone F3-C6
Whistle Register: No
Vocal Pluses: Amber's main vocal strengths comes from her extensive chest register. It has power and great dynamics combined with a light and bright quality. Amber appears to have a good technique, mixing her voice well on the higher notes to avoid undue strain on the vocal chords. This allows her the impressive feat of being able to ascend to a C6 in what sounds like the chest register alone.
Vocal Negatives: Voice lacks agility, so vocal runs can sound clumsy and a little laboured. The voice also struggles with the lower notes and has an immature, childlike colouring to it at times.

Bjork - Vocal Profile/ Range

Vocal Type: Robusto Soprano
Vocal Range: 2 Octaves 4 notes and a semitone F#3-D6
Whistle Register: No
Vocal Pluses: Voice is strongest in the midrange and in the lower chest register (up to a D5). Unusually the chest voice retains its power, volume and strength despite its timbre thinning somewhat as it pushes higher. As a whole the voice is a dynamic one that can be oppressive and domineering one moment, and soft and sweet the next.
Vocal Negatives:  The lack of vibrato sometimes makes the higher chest notes sound too sharp and piercing, thus becoming overbearing to hear.

Vocal Range: 2 octaves and 3 notes. D3- G5
Vocal Pluses: Strong mid-range and high chest voice. Unique singing style and vocal runs.
Vocal Negatives: Her technique sounds improper when reaching above an E5 and as a result her voice becomes shrill and unstable.
