Fantasia Barrino- Vocal Profile/ Range

Vocal Type: Mezzo- Soprano
Vocal Range: 2 Octaves 6 notes and a semitone C3-Bb5

Vocal Pluses: Voice has a rasp that gives it a distinct, husky sound. She has great control, and understanding of her voice which allows her to sing in the extremes of her voice- both high and low- with apparent ease.

Amber Riley - Vocal Profile/ Range

Vocal Type: Light Lyric Soprano
Vocal Range: 2 Octaves 3 notes and a semitone F3-C6
Whistle Register: No
Vocal Pluses: Amber's main vocal strengths comes from her extensive chest register. It has power and great dynamics combined with a light and bright quality. Amber appears to have a good technique, mixing her voice well on the higher notes to avoid undue strain on the vocal chords. This allows her the impressive feat of being able to ascend to a C6 in what sounds like the chest register alone.
Vocal Negatives: Voice lacks agility, so vocal runs can sound clumsy and a little laboured. The voice also struggles with the lower notes and has an immature, childlike colouring to it at times.

Bjork - Vocal Profile/ Range

Vocal Type: Robusto Soprano
Vocal Range: 2 Octaves 4 notes and a semitone F#3-D6
Whistle Register: No
Vocal Pluses: Voice is strongest in the midrange and in the lower chest register (up to a D5). Unusually the chest voice retains its power, volume and strength despite its timbre thinning somewhat as it pushes higher. As a whole the voice is a dynamic one that can be oppressive and domineering one moment, and soft and sweet the next.
Vocal Negatives:  The lack of vibrato sometimes makes the higher chest notes sound too sharp and piercing, thus becoming overbearing to hear.

Lea Michele (Rachel from Glee) - Vocal Profile/ Range

Vocal Type: Mezzo-Soprano
Vocal Range: 2 Octaves 2 notes F3-A5
Vocal Pluses:Technical singer with a good grasp of her voice as a whole, thus the sound it produces is always supported well. Her chest voice is crystal clear and has great dynamics, with the higher belted notes being reached through the aid of mixing with the head voice. Her intonation and delivery is also brilliant meaning her voice can effectively communicate a song's emotion and sentiment without sacrificing the audibility of the lyrics.
Vocal Negatives:Her vocal styling means that the vast majority of her performances have a theatrical feel to them, suggesting a limitation to the genres she can sing. Also her chest register can sometimes sound overbearingly strong, especially when the notes aren't softened with vibrato.

Sade- Vocal Profile/ Range

Vocal Type: Contralto
Vocal Range: 2 Octaves 3 notes D3-G#5
Vocal Pluses: Gorgeous tone and an expressive singer.
Vocal Negatives:   Limited range, and vocal style isn't adaptable to many different genres.

Lady GaGa - Vocal Profile/ Range

Lady Gaga Paparazzi Metal Pictures, Images and Photos vocal profile range
Vocal Type: Contralto
Whistle Register: No
Vocal Range: 2.5 octaves (D3-B5 approx)
Vocal Pluses: Powerful, passionate voice, with a rock tinge. Expressive voice that does not lean on melisma to impress.
Vocal Negatives: High belting can sound like shouting at times, which would indicate bad technique or singing outside of her range.

There are some higher notes in the video below, but I'm not including them in Gaga's range because I consider exclamations and singing as two totally different things. One requires a degree of skill- singing- and one doesn't- screaming and exclamations. If you want to know how big Gaga's range is if the notes in this video are included then Gaga has a range of 4 octaves 1 note.
