Kim Kardashian has been the subject of numerous plastic surgery rumors during her time in the public eye, in fact we've pretty much covered all of it, including the breast implants, butt implants, nose job, and of course the only actual confirmed procedure, botox injections, which she featured on her reality show.

And its no secret that Kim K has a fabulously bountiful pair of lush lips, which has also been the target of cosmetic enhancement speculation.

Many blogs are using this before and after photo as a viable comparison, justifying the enhancement of Ms. Kardashian's lips, however I'm not fully sold on the idea. Kim has been quoted as saying...

I think lip injections look very fake and bad and I wouldn't want to kiss anyone with stuff in their lips, so I wouldn't do it to myself.

With that being said, her lips are noticeably fuller in the after photo, but not drastically, like we tend to see with lip injections or implants.

One thing that is quite clear with Kim Kardashian, she tends to go way overboard with her use of makeup, and it also looks like she is applying too much lip gloss plumper. Which pretty much solves this lip injection/implant rumor.

We've all heard the never-ending speculation about Angelina Jolie's alleged plastic surgery makeover, which has been brought about by countless before and after photos that showcase the Hollywood starlet with two differently shaped noses.

This video is a little something we stumbled upon while browsing around youtube, a video that compares several snapshots of Angelina Jolie throughout the years, accompanied by some personal analysis of their own.

And while we strongly believe Angelina Jolie has only undergone one plastic surgery procedure, being a nose job, the creator of this video discuses the possibility of a brow lift, chin implants, along with breast implants.

At this point i imagine many of you are getting pretty tired of all the "Real Housewives of here and there" plastic surgery coverage, and lets face it, if you've seen one you've seen them all. Must be an honorary "makeover" upon signing their contracts.

Which brings us to Taylor Armstrong, a Beverly Hills fan favorite who has taken on the cookie cutter form of so many other "Real Housewives". Confirmed procedures include breast implants, botox and lip injections.

I think a little here and there keeps you from having these really radical procedures later and you end up looking like a completely different person. My goal is then to get little injections here and there, and it makes me feel better about myself. It's not for everyone but it makes me feel good, so I do it.

Taylor Armstrong insists her cosmetic choices make her feel good, however it appears shes waging war with her face just to conjure up an expression, for goodness sake.

Angelina Jolie Says She Is Plastic Surgery-Free

On the hills of her recent movie release, starring alongside Johnny Depp in 'The Tourist', Angelina Jolie has been chatting it up with media of late, discussing a range of topics, including her much talked about plastic surgery rumors.

And while sitting down with The Daily Mail, she expressed her feelings on the topic...

I haven't had anything done and I don't think I will. But if it makes somebody happy then that's up to them. I'm not in somebody else's skin to know what makes them feel better about themselves. But I don't plan to do it myself.

No matter how much we'd love to believe the statement "I haven't had anything done", its hard to argue with the plethora of pictures showcasing a different story. A story that displays a button nose Jolie during her early career, and then presto! Pointy and defined schnoz.

And while Angelina Jolie's nose job "rumor" is up for some heated debate, we're prepared to clear the actress on the breast implants and lip augmentation speculation.

However i think botox injections are still on the table, so to speak...

If you didn't get the memo, Kerry Washington is an accomplished American actress, who has starred in blockbuster films including Ray, The Last King of Scotland and Fantastic Four.

And if you find yourself keeping up with Ms. Washington, you've probably already heard about the numerous cosmetic plastic surgery rumors, targeting the lovely actress.

At least two prominent cosmetic surgery blogs and several other highly trafficked gossip blogs have assessed these very same before and after photos, and the overall consensus seems to weigh heavily on the idea of cheek implants and a nose job procedure.

The first photo is a very poor choice for assessing a rhinoplasty operation, considering the two "animated" facial expressions, however the second snapshot provides a much better comparison, which showcases a slightly more slender bridge and nostrils. Perhaps a very minor nose job?
As for the cheek implants speculation, its seems quite clear that her cheeks are much more defined and prominent in both of the after photos, however at the same time she also appears to be a bit thinner in both of the after photos.

So naturally, more often than not, a thinner person would have a more chiseled facial structure. Until further review and investigation, we'll just label the cheek implant rumor as "unsolved". So share you're thoughts on the topic!

On the verge of her thirteenth appearance on the cover of Playboy magazine, blonde barbie doll, Pamela Anderson, is prepared to call it quits with her long time love affair with plastic surgery.

I'm not against plastic surgery, what I've had done will stay with me and that's fine, but I don't want anything else. I'll do facials but I don't want to go down the scary route and have knives plunged into me.

The forty three year old, mother of two, has apparently had a change of heart on the superficial side of life, as she turns her back on what landed her in Hollywood in the first place, plastic surgery.

I don't mind aging. I've never been a classical beauty. I've always had that Playboy vibe. I don't want to chase youth. Anyway, I find it chases me.

Who would have thought cool as a cucumber, tough, former Eurythmics singer Annie Lennox would be a fan of  the cleavage flaunting, Hello Kitty loving, woman child that is Mariah Carey? Not me for starters!



I'm a fan of both Annie Lennox and Mariah Carey but the two singers are at such opposite ends of the musical, personality, ideological, you-name-it, spectrum I would never have thought there would be any mutual appreciation between the singers. In fact when Mariah Carey performed O come all ye Faithful in Washington this month I was sure I saw disdain on Annie Lennox's face as she watched Mariah singing  (see the picture above). Well shame on me for coming to that assumption!

What with Annie Lennox being  a brilliant vocalist herself it was pretty naive of me to assume she wouldn't recognise and appreciate, even more so than those who aren't singers, vocal talent when she hears it! Even so, it was nice to hear a veteran singer giving Mariah some kudos for a change!

Well ladies and gentlemen, once again its rumor tuesday, where we highlight the latest and greatest plastic surgery gibber jabber.

Today the subject of our conversation is none other than budding English actress, Emily Blunt, who you may or may not recognize from movies including The Devil Wears Prada, The Wolfman and recently in Gulliver's Travels.

We couldn't help but notice the increasing amount of search engine queries for the term "Emily Blunt plastic surgery", which is perhaps a result of a few prominent plastic surgery blogs, who recently touched on this very subject.

At least one blog has suggested that Ms. Blunt has undergone as many as four different procedures, including a nose job, chin implant, cheek implants and lip injections.
However upon first glance, we weren't able to detect any alterations whatsoever, in fact the only things that are blatantly obvious about these before and after photos are, different facial expressions, lighting and makeup applied.

Then again i suppose we could be wrong, and perhaps her procedures were very subtle and not easily detectable, but it seems quite obvious that chin and cheek implants are out of the question.

Maybe a natural lip plumper and a few minor tweaks to her nose, but even that seems like a stretch. How would you assess these recent rumors?

The Twilight Zone Plastic Surgery Episode (Video)

Lets take a break from the everyday analysis of celebrity plastic surgery, and enjoy this classic and thought provoking episode of the original (1959–1964) anthology series, The Twilight Zone.

The episode is entitled "Number 12 Looks Just Like You", and the story revolves around a future age-obsessed society where people desire to mirror one another, by means of a procedure that alters their face and body to resemble that of a model.

However things are about to get interesting, when a naturally beautiful young lady, Marilyn Cuberle, chooses to defy the status quo, and refuses to undergo the "procedure", which ultimately lands her as an outsider, as her "friends" try their best to persuade her into becoming a mold of her former self.

Which begs the question, are we currently living in a 21st century twilight zone?

Alexandra Burke - The silence (Alan Titchmarsh performance)

Watching this made me realise that the extras on the stage during the X-Factor performance of The Silence actually did Alexandra Burke a disservice by distracting from that voice.


The control she demonstrated in all parts of her voice was just crazy. The strong, sustained, chest note (B4) she held at 2.33 with the late addition of vibrato was just stunning. Burke even went up to a Eb5  at 2.59 and a G5#  in head voice at 2.50,while simultaneously giving us her best impression of Mariah Carey with the finger to the ear and crazy hand waving.

For all the feedback she was getting from the aged crowd she would have done just as well to have mimed the song, but kudos to Alex who always seems to bring her A-game whenever and where ever she sings.

Chery Cole gave her first live performance of her terrible single The Flood at the Royal Variety Show.

It's almost as if this was a different Cheryl Cole to the one we've watched on the X-Factor these last months. Gone was the tough, in-control aura and instead poor Cheryl looked nervous and meek, visibly shaking throughout the song. It's vulnerable side I've never seen in the confident Geordie before.

There's speculation about whether this was live or not, but I think the tuning issues and Cheryl being clearly nervous made it more likely to be live than not. The belted D5 note-that people are claiming was mimed- on the word "flood" (see 1.07) was also live; although that note is supported by a backing track that can be heard at 3.19.

For instance, we stumbled across this before and after photo of David Charvet, and the author seemed quite certain that he's undergone a nose job operation...

But lets face it, this is an extremely poor attempt at producing a side by side comparison, the lighting and quality of the after photo demonstrates very poor definition and structural detailing of his face, thus rendering the photo obsolete.

Gina Gershon is an accomplished actress and ageless beauty, featured in movies including Bound, Showgirls and Cocktail.

Ms. Gershon is quickly closing in on fifty years of age, however she has maintained her youthful appearance quite nicely over the years, however many believe this is directly attributed to the use of plastic surgery, with speculation including a nose job (rhinoplasty), botox and facial fillers.

So lets take and minute and analysis her nose, which is certainly a very slender schnoz, with exceptionally small nostrils, however that doesn't automatically mean shes had a nose job procedure.
In fact, after shuffling through a plethora of old photos, i wasn't able to locate a single snapshot that would suggest plastic surgery, with the exception of varies angles and lighting that tend to create false comparisons.

With that being said, i think its quite evident that Gina Gershon has experimented with botox injections and facial fillers. Which seems very clear in this recent photo of the lovely actress.

Boy oh boy has the recession hit Mariah Carey hard if her current video is anything to go by. The video for Auld Lang Syne, from the Merry christmas ii you album, has got to be the cheapest video I have EVER seen from any singer, let alone an A-lister.

The video just has Mariah dancing- am i allowed to call it that?- in front of a green screen that has fireworks projected on to it while she mimes BADLY to the song. I think Mariah might have actually filmed this herself, maybe in her shed under the influence of all those pregnancy hormones, and released it online before anyone could stop her because the production values are next to nil. I especially love 2.45 when she twirls majestically onto the screen. Delightful.

Perhaps Mariah has just decided to inforce some austerity measures on her spending habits, she has got a baby on the way after all. Besides why should she still  spend huge amounts of money on her videos when it's not converting into sales for her.

Mariah Carey's Christmas Special extravaganza aired on the ABC Network yesterday- much to my excitement- and contained material from both her new (Merry Christmas ii you) and old (Merry Christmas) holiday albums.

The show was clearly a high budget affair with a stage that was decorated beautifully with trees, lights and plenty of glitter. The production also featured a live band, a strings section, a choir and occasional dancers, as well guest appearances from Randy Jackson and her mother, Patricia Carey.



There was some trepidation from me in viewing these performances because, as commented on the review of the Merry Christmas ii you,I feared as the vocals on the album has been enhanced with studio magic she'd be unable to recreate them live. However, not ready to believe that little voice of doubt in the back of my head, I deferred a conclusive opinion until I'd heard her sing the songs live. That moment has arrived. Time to find out if my questioning of her vocal abilities prove unfounded,


Videos and Reviews From Mariah Carey's ABC Christmas Special 2010:


Oh Santa:Best performance of Oh Santa yet. Surprisingly the whistle at 1.49, which i thought was autotuned on the album due to its odd trajectory up and down the scale and tinny quality, may not have been so. She sings it almost exactly the same here live but changes it a bit by stoping it on an ealier note to allow her to catch her breath.

O Little Town Of Bethlehem / Little Drummer Boy Medley: The crowd rose to their feet after this one, but the those belts were too pristine to be live. Right? At 2.53 is an example of why this performance is making me waver in deciding if lipped or not.That vocal is clearly live but sounds so in keeping with the tone and texture of the the belt that leads up to it-which I suspect is lipped- that I don't quite know what to think any more. .

Oh Holy night: An almost carbon copy of the 2000 version of the song. Was convinced this was lipped untill the head note that starts at 2.24 and the wavering that happens at the end of its run. However still not convinced with the liveness of the belt that proceeds it.

Here Comes Santa Claus (Right Down Santa Claus Lane)/Housetop Celebration:Randy Jackson joined Mariah on stage for my least liked song on the album. Performance was vocally on point and the crowd seemed to enjoy it, getting up to dance. The hamming up of her actions on certain parts screams lipped.

Charlie Brown Christmas: Just Mariah and no backing vocals to fall back on or blend into.Fully live, fully awesome. Perfect example of the improvement in texture and quality of Mariah's mid-range (whisper register).

When Christmas Comes:"It's Christmas right?" love the contrast at 1.52 between Mariah's low, thick, alto speaking voice and the light, bright, whistle note that follows. The belts are lipped but Mariah gets a get out of jail free card for this since it contains a lot of high and sustained belted part that could have exhausted her voice mid-way through the show.

O Joy to the World:  Loved the arrangement and the vocals were strong and almost effortless, but you can see they were live with mistakes such as 1.55 where the note didn't quite make it out. My favourite performance of the song after her BET performance a few years back.

Christmas time is in the air again: A live performance that is virtually a copy of the studio version.The high noted "time" at 2.25 going off key for a split second is for anyone who doesn't think it is.

O Come All Ye Faithful/Hallelujah Chorus: The moment anyone who has listened to the album was waiting for; the duet with Mariah and her mother! Unsurprisingly, but surprisingly at the same time, it was spectacularly live and near enough note perfect. Watch how Mariah runs out of breath at 3.20 after the belt, so has to come in late, if you need proof of it being live.
Patricia's voice was stunning, and she made singing looking effortless-especially in contrast to Mariah, who was making some odd faces in the introduction as she navigated her voice- but you'd expect no less from a retired opera singer.Mariah and Mother need to record an album together.Nuff said.

Conclusion:This ABC special proved something important. It wasn't that she could hit practically ever note on the piano-because we knew that- but it's the improvement of the quality of the voice that's doing the hitting of the notes that is shockingly good. It sounds well

defined and even in texture and tone throughout the range; all qualities that have been in decline since the Charmbracelet album.

But there were still suspicions in the back of my mind that parts of the vocals had been pre-recorded. For every small crack in the voice and off note that showed it was live, there was a high E or F that was so strong and consistent that it couldn't have possibly been live if going on past performances.

Live or not, the most important thing is that Mariah convinced me that the vocals on the Merry Christmas ii you album were all hers and unaided by studio wizardry. This was quite an early Christmas present- as well as a relief- for any Mariah fan to receive this holiday.

I’m a little in love with Christina Aguilera at the moment. Not only has Bionic had resurgence in my affection, but Christina's- it’s actually a soundtrack which also features Cher- new release, Burlesque is pretty darn good. If you initially fell in love with Christina because of the Back to Basics album, you’ll fall in love with her all over again when you hear this.

Song run down

The Etta James song Something's Got a Hold On Mefits Christina voice perfectly as its a style of music that actually utilises and benefits from her grunts and growls, as well as its rough texture. Having all the tools already in her arsenal its not surprising she gives a convincing delivery that effortlessly channels Etta James' sass, passion and fire.

On the flip side the Mae West song Guy what takes his time, as well as But I Am a Good Girl, have Christina toning it all down. Instead, relying on her charm and a softer, sweeter voice to communicate the song. The result is two saucy and teasing tracks that scream Burlesque.



Express attempts, and succeeds, in meshing the 50’s sound with the contemporary. It brings burlesque straight to the club with a modern bump and a percussive breakdown that practically writes the accompanying, provocative, dance routine itself. I could see this being on any Christina Aguilera album.

The Beautiful People isn’t really suited to the film, if compared to the other songs, and the use of the word Burlesque in its lyrics is pretty much the only connection it has. It feels more like a High school musical type production that they’ve attempted to give an edge to by using a sample of the Marilyn Manson's song of the same name. Surprisingly the song was penned with the help of Nicole Scherzinger!

There is a problem with the album though. Its not limp songs, or poor production but a voice, that belongs to one MS Aguilera, that is not being reigned in enough. For example, the beginning a cappella vocal on Tough love is a self indulgent, and clichéd mess that is everything I despise about singing. The coarse texture as well as the volume of the voice is just terrible. Thankfully the songs jaunty production kicks in and by the end you've forgotten the beginning and are left thinking its actually a nice jazzy song.

Infinitivally worse than that is Christina's only ballad on the album called Bound to you. The voice is initially controlled, measured and pleasant to listen to but once the song moves into its death throws Christina lets the voice out of the cage and just shouts into the microphone. The harshness of her voice is raw, but not in an emotional or good way, inflamed and pushed. It gets so bad I had to stop myself from reaching for the stop button; instead, controlling my instincts, I managed to lower the volume to take the edge off of it. (Realising this might be a wee bit harsh of an assessment for a first listen, I gave the song a few more listens and now have a headache. Needless to say, since the review remains unchanged, neither has my opinion.)

Overall, a good album that keeps Christina Aguilera in my good books- I'm not sure why she ever left them- with strong (sometimes painfully so) vocals, brilliant production and evocative songs. Anyone not a fan of Christina should definitely think about purchasing the two Cher songs, which are both an understated, master class in the school of less is more.

Who could forget Tanya Tucker, the thirteen year old singing sensation who grabbed the spotlight some forty years ago, and hasn't relinquished it since. Best known for hit albums including What's Your Mama's Name, What Do I Do with Me and Can't Run from Yourself.

I suppose "Can't Run from Yourself" is the theme of this post, as we see a recent snapshot of Ms. Tucker looking mighty different, and despite packing on a few extra pounds, her breasts appear to have quadrupled in size.

Other sites have suggested the country queen may have undergone plastic surgery for breast implants... and we're gonna say that's a safe bet. As for the rest of her "look", perhaps influenced by watching too many episodes of that dreadful Jersey Shore backwash.

Remember Mariah Carey's last studio album Memoires Of an Imperfect Angel? Well if you do, you may not know that the album had two accompanying remix versions of it recorded that were cocked for release. However since the album barely managed to register a heart beat before it died an untimely death (NB: review), the remixed recordings were scrapped before a release date was set.

1_Memoires of an Imperfect Angel RnB Remix album:

An Rn B inspired take on the album was to feature different guest artists, such as Mary J Blige and R Kelly, duetting with Mariah on each song. Two of the remixes, Up out of my face featuring Nicki Minaj and the Angels Cry duet with Neo, managed to sneak out of the album before it was locked away but their failure at the charts pretty much guaranteed none of the other songs were to be released.

Not wanting to deprive the world, Mariah has said of the songs that she is looking into avenues of how to make these, eventually, available to the fans. She's even considering giving them away for free, which I think is highly unlikely. Anyone else smell a remix compilation album with all her other biggest remixed hits from yesteryear...oh wait!

The second album had the Memoires tracks remixed by, dance DJs of the moment,  the Jump Smokers. Lucky for us this album has been released for free here. Particular stand outs of that album include More than just Firends,Betch gon know and H.a.t.e U.

In related news, to prove how much she loves these guys, Mariah has just revealed she has commissioned the Jump Smokers to create a remix - WITH NEW VOCALS- of All I want for Christmas and OH Santa (from Merry Christmas ii you).

And what might seem appealing to some, we found her over-sized breast implants to be a bit over the top, seeing how they extend out much further than her actual frame, causing an extraordinary amount of side-boob.

In reality this is nothing more than a microcosm of the current influx of massively over-sized breast implants which are finding their way into the chests of women around the world, and while they may appear entertaining to the viewer, they can often be very uncomfortable to the recipient.

Despite Christina Aguilera giving a performance of Express that made us reminisce about Britney Spear's car crash performance of Gimme more at the MTV awards, her appearance on the X-Factor seems to have done the album no end of good. Sales have reportedly increased by 400% since the weekend!

Review: Rebecca Furguson and Christina Aguilera perform Beautiful (X-Factor Final 2010)

A hefty Christina Aguilera took to the X-factor stage and totally smashed it with her performance of Beautiful. Unfortunately, the same could not be said of her duetting partner Rebecca, who gave a shaky vocal performance and forgot the lines.

To add to the list of complaints was the song arrangement. The choice to cut off the song at the climatic second half, when the true belting begins, was ludicrous. It may have been done to spare Rebecca's blushes but it only served to disappoint those who were waiting for the vocal fireworks to begin.

The performance was a ramshackle affair that made the usually slick show look like an amateur production. This was a duet that could have been something special, but instead it was a badly paired, rushed and unrehearsed mess that potentially sacrificed Rebecca's chances of winning for the viewers and publicity Christina would bring to show.
