Rihanna- Watch both video versions of "who's that chick" (Day and night)

Not content with having a single out already (see Only girl in the world Rihanna has released not one but two videos for a David Guetta track named Who's that chick.The song itself is a campy, fun if throwaway, dance number that doesn't take itself too seriously.

The two video versions for the single have the corresponding names of Day and Night.The Day video is bright, fun, and incorporates the 80's vibe that is prevalent at the moment in popular culture. Its' also similar to that found in her other single Only Girl.  

The Night video is less saturated in colour and has an eerie, Gothic feel that brings to mind the Russian Roulette video and the Rated R Rihanna.

With her last album Rated R underselling, by her previous standards, this era's happier Rihanna could be in danger of looking like a reversion to that successful incarnation, rather than an artistic progression forward, potentially rubbing out any credibility garnered from the Rated R album. To counter this the Rihanna team seem to have created these two contrasting videos in an attempt to smooth that transition in a way that makes it appear less contrived and more natural a progression.

I'm incredibly impressed and heartened by this performance. I'm pretty sure this is 100% live and it surprised me because I never really believed she was able to hit those high chest notes without relying on playback.

Is "Impossible" a rip off of "Ain't no way"

The first time I  heard  Christina Aguilera's Impossible it reminded me immediately of an Aretha Franklin classic that  I couldn't put my finger on.



Thinking it would be listed as a sample  I checked the credits of the Christina track and, maybe unsurprisingly, the only person listed was serial soundaliker Alicia Keys.

Going crazy  not knowing the Aretha song I turned to  Google for help but only found articles about the infamous  "Makeover"/"Overload" copy. In the end I turned detective, put on Aretha's Greatest hits and found "Ain't no way".

The songs didn't sound as similar as they had in my head but they still were similar enough to make me wonder how Alicia Keys had the nerve to claim sole credit for a song that clearly borrows from another. I suppose the question is when does being inspired by another song- and I'm 99.9% sure Alicia would know Aretha's Ain't no way- tip over into plagiarism?

It looks like the ol' rumor mill is churning again, and this time it spat out some juicy plastic surgery rumors regarding long time actor, Tom Berenger, who you might remember from the movie Major League and Platoon.

And while we're not completely sold on the idea, other sites have speculated that Mr. Berenger has undergone a facial plastic surgery procedure or two, suggesting the possibility of cheek implants and a mini facelift.

Cheryl Cole the mimer?- Promise This - X FACTOR PERFORMANCE 2010 (Review)

I decided to Youtube Cheryl Coles' X-Factor performance, where she performed new single Promise this, after reading the hoopla in the press about her supposed miming to judge for myself if this was the case or not.

Surprisingly, as far as I can tell, Cheryl Cole isn't miming. The confusion over "was she or wasn't she" may have stemmed from the heavy backing track.

Never being the strongest vocalist I felt she did a commendable job; displaying melisma (Shock!) at 3.24 after a sustained (double shock!!) note before finally ending with flourishes of head voice(triple shock!!!) at the end of the song (around the 4.06).

All in all I was pleasantly surprised to hear variation in her vocal abilities and to see the improvement in Cheryl's dancing and stage presence since her performance of Fight for this Love on last years X-Factor. Maybe there is a reason Cheryl Cole is on the panel after all...still not sure about the song though!

Single Review: Rihanna - Only Girl (In The World) & lyrics

Insipid lyrics, a terrible middle eight that harks back to one of Rihanna’s weaker singles, and an uninspired production could have killed Rihanna’s comeback but, boy oh boy is all forgiven when the euphoric chorus of Only Girl hits. The combination of the impassioned vocals with the 1990s rave inspired synths makes for a heady mix, that lifts this song from potential mediocrity to a club banger that is bound to be a world wide hit.

Rhianna’s voice melds perfectly with the song and is sounding better than ever as delivers strong, clear, weighty vocals, and long sustained notes (an a4 and c5) at the close of the song.

Only girl (in the world) builds the hype for her new album Loud brilliantly and puts to rest the fear that she would do a U-turn after the lukewarm reaction to her last album Rated R and go back to tried and tested RnB sound of Good girl gone bad.

OVERALL: Brilliant single, one of the best of 2010; bring on the new album!

Let me introduce you to Tracy Anderson, shes a celebrity fitness trainer who has previously worked with the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Madonna and Shakira.

Tracy Anderson is clearly a woman who values the idea of staying fit and healthy through diet and exercises, which is an admirably invaluable attribute among any human-being, however it would appear that the toned trainer has made a recent artificial enhanced of her own...
I must admit, history and before photos aren't exactly easy to come by with Ms. Anderson, but it would seem quite evident that the fitness guru has undergone plastic surgery for breast implants, as we see her donning a very reveling dress which showcases her round mounds.

Single Review: P!nk - Raise your glass

After touring for what seems like an eternity Pink's back with a new track called “Raise your glass” from her upcoming greatest hits album, “Greatest Hits...So Far!!!” which is released on the 15th of November 2010. 

As with past albums the lead off track is an up-tempo, feel good, rockpop track designed to placate fans (who have been without new material) while simultaneously reminding the short term minded world that this feisty female is still about. 

The song starts of well enough, with an interesting guitar chord progression and a bouncy vocal delivery but it quickly descends into mediocrity with the obligatory loud, shouty chorus. Even after a couple of listens I’m still no more inclined to raise my glass up, except maybe to throw it at the stereo, than I was before I listened to the song.

Raise your glass is basically Pink on autopilot, delivering to the world what she thinks the world thinks she does. However, since she’s been working so hard and so long wowing people on tour (me included), I am willing to let this clichéd, predictable and fairly pedestrian song slide.

The performance, the styling and the video for Not Myself Tonight hinted at an exciting era for Christina Aguilera and her fans; it's just a shame Bionic flopped and her interest in promoting it sank just as quickly.

Seriously folks, the amount of negative reasons not to undergo a "42XXX" breast augmentation has to outweigh the benefits, like 95/5ish. But apparently Ms. Sabrok absolutely insisted on becoming a walking punchline of 24 hour discomfort.

Pete Burns Botched Plastic Surgery Face

English singer from the band Dead or Alive, Pete Burns, was recently spotted while taking a stroll with his boyfriend (not pictured), while revealing his drastically altered facial appearance, due to plastic surgery.

As you may remember, Mr Burns underwent extensive plastic surgery, including lip implants, cheek implants among other suspected operations, needless to say the results were extremely botched, in fact he later sued the surgeon and was awarded £450,000.

Did you hear the news? Our biggest beloved lips of the west, Lisa Rinna, has successfully downsized and re-sculpted her world famous kisser after undergoing lip reduction surgery, in august, however the results will take up to 6 months to show completely.

Buckle your safety belts boys and girls, because Mexican actress/acrobat, Ms. Lyn May is taking us into a dark desolate realm of our culture, a sinister place located on a distant edge of both realism and fiction, a place known only as... The Twilight Zone!

From the looks of her pixelated before photo, I'd say Lyn May had a very nice and promising facial structure, with lovely large cheek bones and and exceptionally full lips, however that clearly wasn't "cutting" it for the B-movie actress.

And now as we glance at the after photo, we first take a deep breath and point to the area of her face which has been altered...


Lyn May has been suspected of undergoing the following plastic surgery procedures: Eye lift (blepharoplasty), nose job (rhinoplasty), cheek implants, lip injections and perhaps the most altering procedure of all appears to be a lifetime supply of facial fillers, perhaps Juvederm or Restylane among numerous other injectables which has seemingly rendered her face puffy and doughy looking.

If i had to piece together her appearance by recalling other botched plastic surgery victims, I'd mix in one scoop of Maria Geronazzo, a dash of Marijke Helwegen and two heaping handfuls of Jocelyn Wildenstein, plus a carrot on top.


And if i didn't know any better, i would say we're looking at a pair of good ol' fashion breast implants in this photo... Just call it a hunch.

But seriously, how does a plastic surgeon keep his or her license after preforming such a disastrous set of plastic surgery procedures? Assuming the doctor was even certified.

And while we truly believe Ms. McCarthy originally only intended to get a little botox here and there, we're starting to think maybe she is seeing her doctor a little too often lately.
